As I write this post I am sitting on my couch running a million degree fever. Because of this, my brain has turned to mush and I apologise for the lack of imagination going into my writing. So although my written word is failing me, my taste in music is not (I hope).
CANT is the solo project of Grizzly Bear bassist Chris Taylor. He released his debut album Dreams Come True in September 2011 and racked up 3 performances at this years Sydney Festival. If you were lucky enough to get along to see him perform well i’m very jealous and I hate you.
This particular version of She Found A Way Out is from a live performance at the KEXP Studio in Seattle. I love the softness at the tracks beginning, leading into the ear piercing cacophony of the electric guitar towards the end.

Oh and just a fun little fact: Grizzly Bear performed and composed the soundtrack for Blue Valentine, a “romantic” film starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. Personally I found the film so abysmally depressing and vowed never to fall in love. But that’s just me.
