music is a safe kind of high

Geoffrey O’Connor’s latest accomplishment, under his newfound unabashed solo moniker (wait for it) Geoffrey O’Connor, has not failed to impress. After stepping away from his role as frontman for Aussie band Crayon Fields, O’Connor released Vanity Is Forever in 2011. The album, musically, is a nostalgic nod to The Cure, and O’Connor’s soft unobtrusive vocals, in this listeners opinion, are reminiscent of The Notwist.

This particular track is a remix of O’Connor’s “Whatever Leads Me To You” by Oliver Tank, a young Sydney kid made famous by posting his extraordinary musical re-workings on Soundcloud. You can check out some of Tank’s other remixes here: http://soundcloud.com/oliver-tank
